Today, the Vermont Golf Association is the authoritative body for golf in the state of Vermont representing more than 8,600 amateur golfers and 62 golf clubs in the state.
This annual competition will pit the Vermont PGA professional against their amateur counterparts. This year’s event will be held at the prestigious Country Club of Vermont, in Waterbury Vermont October 2-3, 2022
The Pfanner Cup will be a Ryder Cup style event that will be played across two days with 12 members from each team competing. This event will showcase the high level of golf in Vermont and be played in a way that honors Dave’s legacy and grows camaraderie between the professional and amateur sections.
The VGA team will be made up of the top 6 players from the Player of the Year points list, in addition to 6 captains picks. The cutoff date for the points list will be on August 15 following the Mid Amateur Championships. All captains picks will be made by August 16th.
The VTPGA team will be made up of the top 6 players from the Chapter’s points list, in addition to 6 captains picks. All captains picks will be made by August 16th.
