There could be a number of reasons why you might be having trouble registering. We will break them down into different categories. Find the one that best describes what is happening to you and follow the troubleshooting tips.
THE PROGRAM STALLS OR FREEZES AND WON’T DO ANYTHING
This indicates a web browser issue. In order to register for an event, the program must run “scripts” to capture the information and process the registration. Internet Explorer and Chrome web browsers are notorious for disabling the running of scripts by default. When you click on a button and nothing happens, this means that the web browser you are using is preventing scripts from running.
GHIN and the VGA recommends using the Mozilla Firefox browser when working with any of the GHIN products! The Firefox browser is more secure and stable and there are no compatibility issues with any of the GHIN websites or products.
I’M LOGGED IN BUT THERE ARE NO CHECK BOXES NEXT TO
ANY OF THE EVENTS I WANT TO SIGN UP FOR!
I’M TRYING TO REGISTER A GROUP OR REGISTER FOR A TEAM EVENT AND THE SYSTEM TELLS ME MY PARTNER(S) DOESN’T EXIST OR DOESN’T MEET THE REQUIREMENTS
If you have gone through all of these troubleshooting steps, and you still cannot register, contact the VGA Office
at 802-773-7180 or email webmaster[at]vtga.org and describe in as much detail as possible what issues you having.
Simply saying “I can’t register” doesn’t give us much to work on - if you can tell us exactly what you are doing
and where you are having a problem, we can more than likely pinpoint the issue and email the fix to you immediately,
instead of corresponding back and forth until we get all the details!
